Our District Governor, Kenny Janes, visited the club on August 25 and gave a stirring talk about the difference Rotary makes in the world.
He focused on a life-changing experience he had while helping a young boy get his back-to-school clothes and supplies. The lunch they enjoyed together opened his eyes not only to the needs in our local communities but to the selfless, persevering spirit of so many people we seldom notice. Kenny and the student learned a great deal from each other, as we too can learn when we put “service above self.”
